It's an interactive map to show the best places for transportation and walkability.

The default is Grocery + Library which makes the map really really narrowly defined and there's no real way to weight the options, so I recommend disabling Library and/or using just one at a time. But it does an incredible job of highlighting walkability and would make a great tool for deciding where to develop or move

What do you mean "at the uni itself", like on the campus main lawn? In the admin building? Inside a classroom? Like did they just abolish university libraries or are they really just for homeless people to take drugs like foxposter claimed?

I like jews and I hate a lot of Yimbys. I also live in a very old suburb that still feels walkable and has lots of trees. I think the ressentiment of many Yimbys is palpable and is a clear turnoff.

So let's post our walkscores and let's see how bad things really are. If any of the there numbers are under 90 you don't belong here.

DCA's central position and having a Metro station immediately next to it is great. Although I like the Dulles design better (and the new silver line connection seems cool athough I haven't tried it yet).

Landing in a valley between mountains is amazing to see. It's a tiny airport with some regional connections but it's amazingly comfy. They have a nice outdoor deck and the staff is very friendly.
>>
>>1994747
The new silver line connection to Dulles is not nearly as conveniently located unfortunately. It's not *bad* but it's much further from the terminal than DCA and the tunnel to get there feels like walking through the Catacombs. Navigating the airport is just kind of weird in general because of how labyrinthine it is. Once you get to the terminal you go back downstairs and into even more tunnels then back upstairs again.
>>
>>1994776
>they put it all the way across the parking lot
>its still elevated above the level of the parking lot
This seems like a really low bar to clear to have just put it across from the arrivals/departures lanes, above the parking lot. I'm glad it's built, but really?
>>
>>1995039
Exactly, it's a real haul from the terminal building for seemingly no reason

Already got the old version. Not actually a bad deal despite the annual fee bump they just did, since each anniversary you get a companion ticket good for any roundtrip in the US including Hawaii/Alaska, the Caribbean, and Central America.
>>
>>1994094
You forgot to say the point of the the Reserve card is that the companion ticket is good for (domestic) First Class, whereas the lower priced Platinum is only good for some fare classes of Economy.
>>
>>1994180
Not domestic only. It was changed earlier this year:
>Enjoy a Companion Certificate on First Class, Delta Comfort+®, or Main Cabin domestic, Caribbean, or Central American roundtrip flights each year after renewal of your Card.*‡

You are correct that Platinum is economy only for the companion cert. It's a better deal if you don't want Skyclub access, but if you want Skyclub access as well the Reserve is what you want.
>>
>>1994237
That's pretty based. It's just that Delta's devaluation of skypesos is just so over the top it's insanity when trying redeem for anything lie-flat
>>
>>1995146
Yeah, skymiles are basically tied to a 1.2-1.5 cent cash valuation at this point. If you want to ride up front on a SkyTeam carrier, Virgin Atlantic is pretty much your best option. Fortunately they partner with all the major credit card rewards (CapitalOne, Chase, Amex, Citi), so easy to earn their miles.

A woman who is in a sexual relationship with an aeroplane has revealed that she travelled abroad 30 times in the last year just to spend quality time with her lover.

Sarah Rodo, from Dortmund, Germany, found love on her first flight with a Boeing 737 - after an unfulfilling attempt to date humans.

Since then, the 23-year-old has also 'met' 60 figurines and three larger models who she considers part of a 'collective being' that she is dating, and so she often refers to her lovers as one.

Keeping up a relationship with an object requires real commitment.

The avid jet-setter is so loved up that she has booked 30 mini-breaks in the last 12 months just to be close to her original beau, the Boeing 737.

Despite their many trips together, Sarah, who identifies as objectum sexual [having a sexual or romantic attraction to an inanimate object], is heartbroken that she's never been fully alone with her partner.

Sarah said: 'I'm proud to be objectum sexual – it's a wonderful sexuality, the only sad thing is that I can't be alone with a real plane.

'I flew a lot in the last year to be with the Boeing as often as I possibly could, I took about 30 flights and always combined it with a city trip or vacation.

Wear natural fiber clothing only, not too tight and in light colours.

Shower in the evening if needed but without soap.

Delta Cycle and Dimension stem raisers are being recalled because they can shift during use and pose a fall hazard.

The recall affects about 500,000 units sold in the U.S., and about 8,510 sold in Canada. The affected Delta Cycle stem raisers are model numbers TD3318B, TD3318S, TD3418B, and TD3418S. The Dimension model numbers are SM1977 and SM1979. All of the models were sold in black and silver and measure between 5 and 7 inches high.

Consumers should stop using the recalled models and contact Delta Cycle to schedule a free repair at an independent bike dealer. Delta Cycle can be reached at 800-474-6615 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday; by email or online.

No injuries have been reported, but there has been one report of a stem riser shifting during use. The stem risers were sold at REI and local bicycle stores nationwide and online at designbydelta.com and Amazon.com from January 1998 through January 2024 for about $46

what does this part do on a bike?
>>
>>1995126
It raises the steerer tube. If you cut it off too low, you can replace the stack and stem with this thing, and get the extra height back. One of the retarded workarounds created since the bike industry ditched the superior threaded system.
>>
>>1995145
>If you cut it off too low, you can replace the stack and stem with this thing, and get the extra height back.

I don't think there is a single person that uses a stem raiser for that reason. This shit is for trekking retards that want to have their bars on eye level and other retards that refuse to ride a bike in their size
>>
>>1992719
>No injuries have been reported, but there has been one report of a stem riser shifting during use.
so non issue unless you are a retard.

Grew up on 90s MTBs in the 00s, fell for the fixie meme around high school and college '10s, and now that I have $$$ I really don't care for peak performance Road nor MTB. I just want to cruise around the same dirt roads and trails around me in no rush. I had a gravel bike, it was okay. I saw what you guys meant by being under biked.

Money sorta isn't an issue and for the first time ever I can afford high end shit, but instead of listing after the latest full suspension trail bike or high end proper gravel bike, I just want some old school and as simple as possible.... but capable of mild trails and dirt roads.
I had some trek with 35mm tires. A Giant Fathom 29er.... KHS Zaca... Cannondale F400 I just get bored and want something different, not necessarily/better/

None of my friends care to ride. I don't like group rides. I Don't like riding on the street.

What should I get?

It has to be all black and I'll put on a Brooks saddle.

Just go the easy way and just buy a new around 2k$ hardtail 29in mtb.
You get the best of modern tech like dropper posts, geometry and great groupsets without the silly markup of electronic groupsets and shit.

With old bikes there is always something to wrench on, 26inch kids wheels are a nightmare if you are tall, old mtb suspensions suck mayor balls and 3x groupsets are a bitch to set up.

The simplest way to a grave, sure.

I am considering getting one of these things, but the price is keeping me back, and some of the constraints, e.g.: wheels, proprietary parts, expensive accessories, etc...

The thing that keeps me orbiting towards a Brompton instead of the countless chinkshit knockoffs is the reputation. It seems everyone has mods, solutions, know-how to how to get the best out of the Brompton.

So what's your take /n/?

Further upgrade ideas: Lights - I have some shitty rechargeable USB lights, they can do they job, but ultimately I want to replace the wheels with CSS rims from Ryde, and throw in a SON28 dynamo.Overkill? Yes.

My Dahon has similar grips, but Dahon branded. I have a Corky Urban mirror that goes inside the handlebar and folds out, which you do by taking off the plug on the end. It's enough to glance at to tell what's going on behind you. You'll still want to look over your shoulder and make eye contact with motorists etc.

For daily commuting it's better to use your own bike since these are pretty slow. But they are incredibly usefull in some situations. In my city they just cost a few euros for a yearly pass. I love them, every 1st world city needs these.

They were removed from my city because no one rode them. Not even the dockless ebikes have taken off. Rental E-Scooters are very popular however and people tend to try them out, then graduate to buying their own.
