Like I said, I'm not saying it's not impressive. I just suppose the idea of displaying an unfinished model publicly is grotesque to me, even if I do understand the dude making it probably has less years left than it'll take to complete the job.

>let's release a protagonist gundam with the signature flashy lights turned OFF
There's no explanation of this decision that isn't frustrating or inconvenient to the intended consumer. It's like they botched a general release just so they don't spoil a gimmick meant to be revealed in the second half of the first episode of the fucking show because the story is so very important unlike the toys they are trying to sell.

>>10953977
For that price point I thought this figure would be loaded with coral effect parts or at least the energy sword she waves around, buying new RD's are getting harder and harder to justify.

It's actually kinda fucking amazing how well Yamato's old VF19F has aged, the Kai reissue from Arcadia is cool and all but the 19F (and by extension the 19S since it's just the same figure with extra lasers and yellow trim) is like everything I wish the Arcadia YF19 would be like, without the frustrating parts.

In fact so many of the worst aspects of the YF19 Arcadia just end up being side effect of adapting the VF19's underlying chassis to the YF's particular aesthetics, resulting in places where it looks more unsightly on the YF (fatter leading lip on the intakes, obvious exposed extension of the leg when viewed from the side, a kinda meaningless flap hatch for the YF that on the VF is part of a cool battroid access hatch gimmick...). I get why they would do that, reusing much of the existing tooling would be financially wise and it still runs circles around the old original Yamato YF19... but I'm a lot more a fan of how it plays out with the M7 Excaliburs. Joints are rather slippery tho, but hey the Yammy era Excalibur is like 10 years old? It's fine.

THE RULES:
-We have e-mails for a reason. USE THEM.
-Be sure to have PRICES (with photos preferably) in your SALE listings - NO "feeler" posts, just post the thing with a price.
-Ignore price-policing posts, as someone will ALWAYS complain. E-mail the seller and communicate accordingly if pricing is an issue.
-I'll save you the effort: check Mandarake, either for pricing (if selling), or for availability (if buying).
-Don't shit-talk buyers or sellers without evidence.

I mean wouldn’t the exclusive make it more than 3 figures? I wonder if they already got more out of the license and will announce that once they put out the third figure.
>>
>>10968170
It was known from the start that they would make only 3 figures for that specific baki season. It's entirely possible they will make more in the future but these 3 are for son of ogre season only. Since it's probably their best selling product ever, the chances are fairly high. I myself am unusre though wether I want pickle. On one hand he's big and muscly which I like on the other hand he's kinda boring but so are the next two "antagonists" honestly. The only charachters I like are Doppo, Biscuit, Hanayama and Jack. The rest is like an excuse to make up fights. Shibukawa and Motobe are kinda too small for figures imo but I'm happy to be surprised if they do them.

Not at all lmao

Last time I was into it was the mcfarlane alien queen 20 centuries ago. Then I found scale models, miniatures, etc. Have a kid now, so no time to airbrush or paint.

I thought they've always been popular when I saw them here and there in pop culture shops, but tried to get into it again this alien day, and all production is stopped everywhere. Neca seems to have retired it in 2020. Several half hearted lines by your usual suspects, bandai, kotobukiya, hot toys, etc. most retired, if not expensive af.

Only outstanding one the the insane prime 1 alien queen but it costs as much as a used car.

What happened?

>>
>>10967352
Everything is OOP now and costs too much. Neca marines are going for hundreds on ebay, things like ultimate big chap much more, kotobukiya is 500.

There's no way to even get any figure from the original 3 movies for cheap.

They could have expanded into diorama stuff, just release playsets with figures, do a stairwell, spacesuit locker, sleep pods, hive floor.

Or they could do a queen that doesn't need a waist brace. Everyone loves the queen. Everyone wants to buy a queen. It'll sell no matter what.
>>
>>10967791
I'm pretty sure Ultimate Big Chap and the Ultimate Aliens Warriors get reissued a lot. I think the Targets near me still have some of the Aliens warriors.

No, that's not correct. That ToyBiz Punisher came with a display stand, not that base. The same base isn't going to be used for different products from different companies. Come one man, common sense.

diamond select figures were literally produced by toybiz until toybiz ceased to exist. wouldn't be the first time molds were reused across companies in the history of toy production.

but it didn't happen in this instance though.
