He's right though. Watching things on TV that aren't about self-improvement or upskilling is degenerate. Pleasure should be derived from physical interaction with the outside world to the maximum degree possible to maximize mental health.

Hey /g/ents, let's talk about the elephant in the room: Linux users. Now, before you start throwing your ThinkPads at me, hear me out. As much as Linux is praised for its customization, security, and open-source ethos, it's also the reason we're stuck in a technological rut.

Here's the deal: Linux users have a superiority complex that's holding back mainstream adoption of new technologies. Instead of embracing innovation, they cling to outdated software and hardware like it's their lifeblood. Sure, you can argue that Linux is great for certain tasks, but its hardcore fanbase is preventing the rest of us from moving forward.

Let's talk about gaming. While Windows and even macOS have made huge strides in gaming compatibility, Linux users scoff at the idea of gaming on anything other than their precious command-line interface. This elitist attitude is alienating game developers who could otherwise be porting their titles to Linux.

And what about software compatibility? Sure, you can use Wine or virtual machines to run Windows software on Linux, but why should you have to jump through hoops just to use basic programs? Linux users need to stop pretending like using outdated, niche software is somehow superior to embracing mainstream solutions.

But perhaps the most egregious offense is Linux users' resistance to change in hardware. While the rest of the world is moving towards faster processors, better graphics cards, and more efficient hardware, Linux users are stuck in the past, clinging to ancient ThinkPads and Raspberry Pis like they're relics of some bygone era.

It's time for Linux users to wake up and smell the silicon. Embracing new technologies doesn't mean abandoning open-source principles—it means evolving with the times. So, let's stop pretending like Linux is the be-all and end-all of operating systems and start pushing for real innovation. Who's with me?

Any one of you use pygame here?
I created my display with
pygame.display.set_mode( self.resolution, flags=pygame.RESIZABLE|pygame.SCALED|pygame.SHOWN )

like year ago and it worked nicely.
Now, I develop again on an other computer with maybe a newer version of pygame, and it breaks...
The pygame.SCALED flag seems to crash...
Any ideas?

I usually code in C, but I wanted to try to learn pygame, to see what it's like.
So far, it's not that bad.
I don't know if I will have the motivation to make "big" python code tho...
I will probably stick to C and Raylib.

I'm not talking about just iPad though, laptops in general won't last long, tablets will overtake them and make them obsolete aswell.

Why can Apple only make iPhones of various sizes? iPad? Big iPhone. MacBook? iPhone w a keyboard. Apple watch? Tiny iPhone.
Holy shit they really have one thing going for them.
>>
>>100514076
The cheaper android tablets are kinda not worth it in my experience (I had a galaxy tab a note and then an s6 lite 1st gen, both kinda sluggish to multitask or any complex task), except maybe if you just need to play some youtube, light browsing and read some pdf in a semi portable way. I currently have an m2 ipad pro (got in in the gray market since it's the only way to get apple stuff in brazil) and it is a much better experience but in the end it's one of the most superfluous device I own. So if money is an issue (and with brazil prices it always is) I'd recommend just getting a nice portable notebook or a better phone (and maybe a kindle).

The charging port is either super stupid or not a big deal at all depending on the battery life and how fast it charges.
If I can leave for five minutes to take a shit and then keep using it for another 2 hours (at worst) then I have no problem with it.

I don't have one because I'm waiting for the USB C update.
>>
>>100514864
That iMac could run OS X, which is infinitely better than NT.
>>
>>100510445
>Why can't they put the ports in the base at least?
What if you want to hold it up with a VESA mount, and don't want a base at all? Not having a base is pretty neat.
>>100509238
oh wow, I grew up on SEs but I had no idea the SE/30 could run an entire second monitor

That's why OS X turns the trash can into an eject icon when you drag a CD anywhere in case your old muscle memory is for dragging to the trash.
Me, I got in the habit of pressing E.

it's not ok simply based on principles. there is a natural order to the world, and this mouse upsets it.
>>
>>100514901
OS X wasn't out yet when the iMacs were first released. OP's pic doesn't show OS X, either.
Plus NT 3.51 and 4 could play WinQuake (and not much else). I enjoyed Dark Castle back in the day, but Windows seemed to pull ahead ever since Windows 95 and Mac OS never really caught up until Mac OS X 10.2 or 10.3 after the OS managed to get optimized enough to run OK on the hardware at the time.

Nvidia 3080
64gb fast ram
6tb NVME storage across 3 drives
2 10tb hdds

I will be putting proxmox on it, adding a 10g NIC and maxing the RAM out. What else should I add?

Agi will be revolutionary in an unprecedented way. But that won't come until nuclear fusion, because ai is extremely energy hungry. So no world changing ai until world changing nuclear fusion. Amusingly though, they've set ai loose on the problem. So we might see agi in a decade or so. Until then it's an ai bubble

The best way to fight against ZOG is to be able to break free of their surveillance. Become ungovernable

If your looking to practice your reverse engineering skills PicoCTF is one of the best places to start, followed by crackmes.one
After getting decent on those you may want to move on to HackTheBox and challenges.re
