If you do not have a CCD DSLR yet, BUY ONE NOW. Prices are going through the roof before this time next year
>Nikon D200, D70
>Pentax K10D (best)
>Canon Rebel T6i
>Sony A390 & A290
>Etc
These cameras are absolutely unique and look more like film than any preset you can slap ontop of your fooljiflam raws or NIGGOR snapshits. Zoomers are going to catch on soon. These cameras are still <$100 with kit lens, and other lenses for them are dirt cheap, tack sharp, indestructible screw drive lenses. GET ONE NOW, or miss out and cope with paying $300 for a K10D!

Instructions unclear, bought canon 1dsii.

You forgot the canon 1D.
Agreed, lots of hype around CCD the past 5+ years.

I don't usually likes DSLRs but I love my pentax ISTD like you wouldn't believe it.

>Rebel T6i

They're okay... I wouldn't pay more than like a hundred bucks for one.

Too bad the AF is atrocious. Hated it
>>
>>4314036
Seconding the D70/s though the sensors and cf card slot tend to shit out (pathetic reliability after a mere 20 years)
global shutter + ccd + af motor, let me guess, you need more?

The d200 is more long lived. They’re not weather sealed any more but the 5-10 years the seals work for spare the camera a lot of wear just from dust, ambient moisture, and slowing down temperature changes
>>
>>4314096
i think this explains why fuji card slots and sensors die within a decade and every a7riii out there has at least one dead port now
no weather sealing
>>
You have to buy cameras when they are "out of date trash" not when they are "future collector's items" or "confirmed classics."
>>
They just have bad DR. Bad DR = nice tone mapping by default. Increase contrast and tweak exposure for the same results. Sensor "colors" have been debunked, all sensors are B&W. Deeper shadows (caused by better tone mapping) give a "saturated" look.

This. I used these cameras when they were new. They were not, and are not, magic or capable of giving better color. They’re completely decent cameras, aside from being obsolete and low resolution. I really think the D700 was the first perfect FF SLR Nikon made. It runs circles around D200s and D300s.
>>
How are the digital lenses for these old Pentax DSLRs? Or shall I just stick with my old manual lenses?
>>
>>4314355
All pentax lenses are just rebadged Scamrons
>>
>Zoomers are going to catch on soon
zoomers (including myself) don't want big chunky inconvenient dslrs. i don't think these are going to inflate that heavy in price.
>>

Yeah I might upgrade once my current D70 dies, but idk if the 10.2 MP is worth it for the extra processing time required
