>Redesign for western sensibilities utterly mogs the original
You know, I've always wondered: Does the Famicom's Gun have the same super satisfying "PTANG!" sound as the NES' Zapper?
"mogs" isn't a real word and an indicator that you don't belong on this board>thread hidden
>>10905279I'm sorry you need to try this hard to fit in and you're still not having a good time. Don't have a "doki doki panic" about it, haha
>>10905265sorry you have shit taste op, you'd be right if it were originally a pistol but revolvers are dope
>>10905265>redesigned to avoid a realistic design that would cause somebody to get shot for waving it around
>>10905287lolnoCowboys were grossly out of fashion by the 1980s, the Lone Ranger was pure geezer shit, everyone was looking towards the future. It was the Space Age and the Zapper ignited an entire generation of imaginations for futuristic weaponry.

>>10905292who gives a shit about cowboys? i'm talkin noir dicks and spies style baybee
>>10905270>>10905273>Resdeign ruins game
The Famicom Zapper didn't sell very well and Nintendo made a bunch of Zapper games that were never released in Japan.
>>10905265is that the japanese zapper?
>>10906163>>10905265Boyz n the Hood featured the Japanese model.
>>10905363If that's what they were going for, it would have come with a shoulder holster rather than a belt.
>>10905363I've never seen a noir detective carry a single action army
>Redesign for american pussie sensibilities utterly mogs the original.fix.
>>10905270Why is old Jerma throwing a frog
>>10905276It goes "PTANG" but in Japanese.
>>10905265>Wild West cowboy revolverThat's what Japs think all real guns look like in America!
>>10905265These things go both ways.
>>10905284kek
>>10905276The bizarre Zapper design is probably because of the original gun design, which uses a similar 2 stage-esque mechanism to pull back the hammer, except here the hammer is actually exposed AND functional. You can manually cock back the hammer to essentially pre-travel the spring for a lighter trigger pull.
>>10906492I want to fire the Nintendo Glock.
>>10905270This one was kino. No one remembers "generic anime space war #15972". Everyone remembers "frog jumps down a hole in the backyard to the underworld and becomes a giant radioactive mutant".
>>10905265Western one looks like cool future hi tech. Japanese one is uncanney valley, trying to hard to look real but the more it tries the more you notice its flaws.>>10905292John Wayne was the lamest shit ever, you have to high on eccies to enjoy that shit.
>>10905292>>10908173>zoomers larping on shit they weren't born yet when first releasedso this is what /vr/ is becoming...
>>10906492>black triggerIt's shit.
>>10905265> coo blaster> weighty revolverNot really. They are just different.
>>10905284>Don't have a "doki doki panic" about it, hahaLmao, POW'ed that faggot with this one.
Fun fact it looks like that in Japan because it was designed to be a Wild Gunman controller for the port of the arcade game.
>>10908181>random buzzwords: the postThere's nothing the post you're replying to said that's wrong.
Holy shit I had no idea the Zapper was a revolver in Japan. It looks fucking sick!!
Duck Hunt was the bane of millions of American children but in Japan the game is obscure and barely remembered. Also just as a little fyi the US version had a few small changes with the speed of the different waves of ducks to make it a little more difficult.
>>10912891Wasn't this because duck hunt came with the action set console bundle? Obviously a game basically everyone gets for free is going to be well remembered, while in Japan the gun add-on was a secondary purchase and so were all the games.
>>10913740Yes, and was part of a dual cart with SMB. As a result, SMB and Duck Hunt are forever linked in the memories of western gamers, while Japanese gamers only had it if they actively purchased the game and the gun.
What games let you dual wield 2 lightguns?
