Alright, I think I found a good enough placement now, good thing the base guy's sprites have added fluff room I can use to shift the sprites around due to his coat and all. I actually became a bit of a sweat at the game for a hot minute there (Swap best mode). I fell deep enough down the rabbithole to get into even the "obscure literal who PC98 RPG mother series" aspect of it. Puyo is a very neat series, and I did make sure to clear Avalanche when it came to NSO. I like the fact they gave Dedede's drops the screen shake from Zoh Daimoh even if he has Satan's AI, that is some very clever code reuse as far as I'm concerned. Guys, I just an epiphany. Morpho absorbed Galacta to become a knight (or something like that), right? And it's CONFIRMED that the Morpho Knight design was planned for Kirby GCN, right? Despite being labeled as Meta Knight? Well...what if the label wasn't exactly a mistake? What if MORPHO......was planned to absorb META instead? Meta Knight, who was usually depicted as more villainous before the anime softened his image, was perhaps supposed to have a wholly different arc altogether, and if it wasn't undone, it would've been a *massive* shake-up. The anime saved Meta Knight from this and made him go from semi-recurring side-villain to regular hero. That shock we felt when Galacta was bait-and-switched, and Galacta was no more? Yeah. Theory: HAL liked the idea of Morpho Knight supplanting a Knight, but Meta was proving too popular to bump off, so instead, a GALACTIC NOBODY was made-up and built-up in multiple games for the sole purpose of being Morpho's new host.
