>>40940655No need! Lushie can just brush your... uh, back or something. I'm sure it feels similar
>>40941343Realistically how long does it take for the average snowpone to learn how to snowwalk? In relative terms I feel like it'd be before a pegasus would learn to fly, definitely much earlier than a unicorn learning magic
>>40941640I'd guess typically they'd have it down by age 3-5. The pegasi at flight camp already have flight down and are at an athletic camp roughly age 9-12, so basic flight would probably be 4-6. Not too far off
>>40941640I'm not sure it'd be a "much" earlier than magic and stuff, it's like a magic spell of sorts. Maybe foals could be given snowshoes or tiny skis, like picrel.
>>40941920I can see Niveous being a natural and having it down quite early.
>>40941920That range seems about right to me with some outliers no doubt >>40942603>>40942307I see it more as something that is intrinsic to snowponies but needs to be learned, similar to unicorn magic in that way but culturally snowponies would push learning snowwalking earlier than unicorns teaching magic

LAST TIME:https://desuarchive.org/mlp/thread/40798618/#40914861----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------->Fireweed whickers and sways her rump back and forth as you take in another breath of her scent, lip raised>Her scent and her magic makes your mind fade and your spear smack and stay pressed against your belly before falling back down>Barely thinking, and faintly registering the sounds of “snu snu” next to you, you lean in and plant a sloppy kiss on Fireweed’s entrance>You can feel her winks as you lick her hind lips and lap up her essence>Every breath you take in, your consciousness fades a bit more as your tongue delves deeper into her passage>Fire is snorting and whickering and scraping the ground with her hoof as your tongue laps against a spot at the top of her passage>All you can focus on is the salty, tangy flavor of your mare, a strange mix with her musty, grassy, herbal mare scent>Essence is drooling from your spear, which is firmly held against your belly now>Fire whines and stomps the floor, bringing your attention back along with a breath of outside, yet still heavily heat charged, air>You briefly glance over to Fang thrusting his spear into Kindle, both only making primal noises>Looking back at Fireweed, her pebble winks out at you rapidly>You dive back under her tail and on another wink, you take it into your mouth and suckle it>Her head shoots up and she whines as you swirl your tongue around her pebble and lap up her juices >You press your nostrils into her entrance and take in her scent again as she whinnies and a wave of her essence hits your muzzle>Over to the left, more snorting and whinnying,>Barely aware, overwhelmed by Fireweed’s scent, your spear painfully hard, you turn to Kindle and Fang>Fang is thrusting hard into Kindle, producing loud squelching>He gives one last big thrust, then gives several pushes forward before jabbing in hard and giving a deep whinny>His spear is throbbing and you can almost hear it as he cools Kindle’s heat>Fireweed then backs into you with a sharp whine>Her rear is high in the air and she winks rapidly>You freeze, looking between her face and her rear>Her face is blushing heavily and she’s panting>Simultaneously staring at you and your spear and off into nowhere, she struggles to just barely get the words out>”….breed me…..”
>>40953210>Without a word, just a snort, you rear up and grab your wife’s hips>You madly thrust at her>The first few miss, rubbing your spear through her fur, against her teats, dangerously close to her tailhole>Her floof sends some tingles up your spear, but nothing compared to when you finally catch inside her winking entrance>One thrust sends you halfway inside before a tight clench halts you and Fire moans>You go cross eyed>This isn’t the first time you and Fireweed have mated>But her heat….>You can really see why it’s called “heat”. She’s far hotter inside than any other time you’ve joined together>Her winks and clenches are much harder and tighter and more desperately frequent>And while she always gets very wet for you, you’re practically submerged in her essence>One more thrust as you pull her against you and you’re all the way in>She wickers as you hit a wall. Her womb>A mare’s second magical reservoir, her essence overflows from here>With your aid, ready to physically shape another life, and nurture and bind a wild spirit and ready it for its journey among your tribe>None of this is really close to mind, just the faint notion that you’ve hit her womb>You grab her belly tighter and rest more of your weight on her as you pull back>Intense waves of pleasure shoot up through your spear and behind your groin as she clamps down>Even with all her essence flowing, she’s still paradoxically tight. Her walls both smooth and bumpy all around you>With most of your length outside, you thrust back in hard>Fireweed nickers as your sack swings forward and taps her pebble>With each withdrawl and thrust, every clench from your mare, you feel warmer and hazier>It’s as if you are both melting together into a single being, overwhelmed by a haze of pleasure>You snort with every throb and shock of pleasure catching behind the root of your spear>Fireweed stomps the floor as she whinnies. She gushes around you again as you throb hard enough to simultaneously feel muscles clench behind your spear and up into your lower belly>It stops you breathing for a moment>In the distance, you can dimly sense Kindle and Fang are mating again>You’re snapped out of focus as the very tip of your spear is getting even more sensitive>Fireweed is staring forward, panting and whickering as you thrust harder and faster>Your essence is dribbling out at an almost constant flow>You can’t even tell how long you’ve been at it, but you can tell you’re getting close>Another tight, swirling clench lines up perfectly with you pulling out>You whinny and your eyes roll back and then suddenly your muzzle is right by Fireweed’s>Your eyes close as an overwhelming shock rolls back up your spear, catching as your groin gets tighter and tighter, and the spasm in your belly winds you again>When you open your eyes…
>>40953214>For the rest of your days you will insist to Fireweed you can faintly remember the moment>You can’t really contemplate what you see in the moment>But the cave is bathed in a reddish purple>It almost looks like flames, but….Not quite?>They billow through the whole space>You can see however, that they’re originating from two places>Inside Fireweed>And inside Kindle>Deep inside, where you and Fang thrust towards>But that is not all>Two whispy, greenish white fireballs hover near both mares>Floating all around them, but never venturing too far from their bellies>You don’t stop through this moment, but you eventually thrust in and the resulting jolt forces your eyes shut again>You groan, and when you open your eyes again, it’s all gone>After a few more thrusts, your face is in Fireweed’s again, and you are sharing breath>Then your sensitized tip suddenly swells bigger>You try to pull back again, but find you are locked deep inside Fireweed>The pressure inside you is almost too much to bear>You continue giving short jabs forward>You’re right on the edge, when somehow Fireweed pushes her tongue into you’re mouth>You lean your head in and feverishly kiss your wife>At the same time you thrust forward as hard as you can with your flared tip and your spear kisses her womb>Overwhelmed by pleasure, you whinny into her mouth>The tension in your groin and belly snaps>You plant your seed>You pull back from the kiss for air as you grunt and snort>Pulse after intense pulse flows from your sack down your spear and into Fireweed’s womb>You jab in with every thrust and fully lay your upper half on her back, enjoying the familiar, less sexual scent of your loving wife>Fireweed can only pant and snort, surely relived that you’re putting out her fire>Things have gotten quieter in the whole cave, the Abominables must’ve finished again too>Eventually, you give all the seed you have and the pulses stop
>>40953216>Your spear softens, but you don’t want to leave Fireweed’s depths just yet>You thrust forward one last time and your sheathe pushes into her hind lips>She’s still winking, but not as intensely>Fireweed finally turns to look at you>”…That….Oh Ancestors, that was incredible Granite…”>”It….Oh wow, I can feel your seed inside me. But it’s much deeper…I can feel my womb…”>”Well, I suspect you’re going to be feeling it a lot…this next year, Fire”>Anxiety returns to Fireweeds eyes, right as you’re no longer able to stay inside her passage>As your spear is forced out, you dismount and move in front of her>”Fireweed, I’m still nervous too…but I know you have it in you to be a great mother”>”And it’s not like we’ll be alone in raising any foal that comes…And I don’t plan on being anywhere but with you”>You nudge your snouts together and share breath for what seems like hours, ending it in a gentle, tired kiss>”TINY PONIES CUTE COUPLE….ME NO IMAGINE LIFE WITH NO KINDLE”>Both of you turn around>Kindle and Fireweed are laying on the floor together, both clearly exhausted>For some inexplicable reason, nopony says anymore and you and fireweed stumble over to the front of the couple>Kindle shifts so she’s belly to belly with Fang>The two of you nuzzle into the incredibly floofy front of their barrels, just below their necks>The four of you pass into slumber>>>>That was three years ago>Later that day and again the next morning, you mated many times with Fireweed, as did Fang and Kindle>The evening of the fifth day in the cave, the storm finally let up>On the sixth day, you took the supplies you still had, thanked your rescuers and hosts for their hospitality, and made the rest of the way to Fell Fir>There was much commotion when you finally arrived, almost a week late>You quickly sold the remaining wares you had>You and Fireweed debated telling of your meeting Abominable Snowponies, but decide against it>You’ve seen the disbelief and also the unwanted attention such stories can bring>But also because your encounter took such an intimate turn>You tell the villagers that you barely dug out from the avalanche, lost supples in the snow and in your attempt to find shelter, and bunked down in a cave>You were so disoriented, you weren’t sure if you could find it again>But after the storm, you managed to make your way back to the path>This seems to placate most of them>A couple younger shamares give you a look that says they suspect something, but say nothing to you>You pass messages on with other travellers in all directions with your story and warning that the usual supply run was off>Two days later, you began the return trek through the forest, down the alternate path, and back to Snowpitt
>>40953219>From what you heard later, there were more foals born that year than normal in several other Southern and Western villages>Including your foal >Fireweed’s heat disappeared completely by the second day in Fell Fir and her next cycle never came>Over the next year, her womb swelled with life, and you stayed as close to her side as you could>Fish didn’t catch itself, after all>Eventually, spring rolled around again. And after much effort from Fireweed, you both finally met the spirit you brought into your tribe>A tiny colt. A faint brown coat from his mother fading into your gray fetlocks and snout and a white mane>Both you and your exhausted wife kiss with tears in your eyes as your foal suckles from her>You both come up with a name fairly quickly>The very reason he is with you now. Mountain Squall>That year and the next, relatives had taken over your route and assisted in foraging so you could care for the foal>This year though…>He’s been running around playing with other foals, but you both also carry him around as he isn’t at the age to grasp snow walking yet>He still does some young foal things, like clacking his teeth at strange ponies, but these things are starting to fade>You’ve discussed with your relatives and the elders>”Mama feesh!”>Fireweed has indeed been preparing fish stew, he’s hungry>As you all sit down to dinner, you discuss what you’ve heard from travelers, spirits, and the traveler spirit>Conditions are mild on the mountain trail to Fell Fir, a bit milder than normal for this time of year>You’ve been going back and forth on whether to do this now>After a bit more discussion, the decision is made>>>>And now, here you all are>Mountain Squall is in his carrier slung around Fireweed’s barrel>You’ve been making good time to Fell Fir, and you’re in the middle of the valley where this all started>…And once again, you can’t shake the feeling you’re not alone>You keep gazing up into the mountains, but you don’t see anything>”Pony!”>Mountain Squall is pointing a hoof out ahead, where another pony has indeed emerged from some trees in the distance>”Hello there, traveler!”> The pony says nothing in response to you, but starts cantering to you>The pony, who seems to be a stallion, has a red-brown coat, with tan hindquarters and fetlocks, and a gray mane>But something’s off as he gets closer, something in his eyes>Fireweed calls out “Do you need help with something?”>No response>The pony stops just short of you>And….bows his head slightly, and chews at nothing>Clacking his teeth>Like a foal….>You give a puzzled glance to Fireweed>But before you can say anything, you are interrupted by a loud, booming voice >”TINY PONIES CAME BACK!!”

Agate bro just posted a new chapterhttps://www.fimfiction.net/story/507146/58/agates-vigil/royal-audience
I tried to add a tag to Granite and Fireweed on Ponepaste and after a few wrong passwords it's saying it's password restricted. I found the right password, logged out and back in, and it's still saying the paste is password protected and not taking the correct password. In my pastes, it still says it's public though and I can't delete it either

Thematically appropriate bump
There's probably at least one snowpony village that's nothing but a network of tunnels and rooms dug into several hundred feet of snow and ice.
>>40959047That follows some interpretations of many of the Northern islands, though I could see a contingent of Northerners that moved more south doing something like that
>>40959424Ooh is that new art?
>>40959047Snowpony Hobbit village?
>>40959047Maybe, depending on how fantastical you want to make your setting. A burrowed-out glacier sounds cool, though then you have to ask what do they do for two things:One, water - do they lick the walls when they get thirsty? They'd lick through the glacier pretty fast; Two, refuse - taking a dump can be fine in a hole outside when there's earth and you bury it when spring comes, but in the case of the ice caves, you'd have to go allll the way outside to relieve yourself (or use chamberpots, I guess).
>>40960892Yeah the toilet situation would be a major disadvantage.
>>40961993Anon is about to eat a mouthful of pinecones.
>>40960892What if there was an under-ice stream? Upstream could be used for fresh water, and very downstream from that, toiletries
>>40962199That could work. Maybe it's on one of the volcanic islands in the far north
>>40957216It looked like a dildo to me at first.
So what does happen if you give a windigo a feesh?
>>40962199Could be. It's amazing just how little of a shit people gave about shitting in the river they were getting their drinking water from back in the day, without even caring overly much for the upstream/downstream thing.Still, when I'm making fantasy additions and deviations from how people IRL did it in my stories, I make up a reason for it. It doesn't have to be anything massive or over the top magical - say, the shores around some island or other are amazingly rich in fish or some other resource, but the island is pretty much one massive ice block, with no way to build homes reliably. And the ponies that settled the place were willing to trade some living comforts in favor of food security, and began hollowing out the glacier, which also works as a good defense against big predators when you can have a single, easily defendable chokepoint as an entrance to the ice warrens. Also, as their homes slowly break down or get polluted, they abandon them as they break and fall off the edge of the glacier, and dig new ones deeper in, as glaciers are not static. Looking it up,>"Glacial motion can be fast or slow, but is typically around 25 centimetres per day."So it's 9125cm per year, or 91.25 meters, which is a fair distance, which means that there'd be a slow, but constant migration from the edges deeper into the glacier.
>>40964444Quads of fours happen.Checked.
>>40964820But seriously, what happens next in picrel?
>>40964472Would glacial meltwater generate the streams necessary?
>>40965270I'd wager the windigos take the offer and grant the ponies less stormy days for a while.

Snowbros, I have been procrastinating on this drawing for some time, but I really want to make this one special. I want to draw ponies gathered around a campfire at the bottom of the picture, listening to the elder tell stories. Above them, the smoke and embers of the campfire weave into the Aurora Borealis, where images of feesh and other snowpone lore swim in the rippling colors a-la Brother Bear.
>>40981384>Brother BearI was just thinking about that movie a couple days ago. Wish I could find my old disk binder. Pretty sure it had a Brother Bear PC game in it.
>>40981357I get the feeling Agate's gonna stay longer. At least through the rest of her parents's lives. There's a lot about how she's been with the snowpones for centuries but she just stuck around to say goodbye. And maybe there's a point. Idk part of me says she deserves her rest, hopefully an easier reincarnation eventually. But I think something else is happening

So yes. After... What, 3 years? Two and a half? my (almost) half a million snowpony story is finally finished. It was a wiiild ride. My first story, after almost a decade of only reading. I halfway expected it to remain a mostly unnoticed one with some 20-30 thumbs like some fimfic stories end up. That didn't happen, and the story got a small, but dedicated following. Guess I'm at least somewhat good at this writing stuff.I wonder if this anon is still here.https://desuarchive.org/mlp/thread/37824292/#q37835359If you remember, Agate's story isn't even fully my own idea, but a complete rework of another anon's unsuccessful prompt. So props to that guy, I guess.Now... I'll be honest, I don't know how much more snowpony writing I have in me. That was A LOT already, and I only have thoughts about a few more chapters in the prequel story. I am still not sure if I am going to write that "kirin visit snowponies" story. Maybe. Even then, it wouldn't be remotely the same length as this one was. I don't have nearly the same amount of ideas for worldbuilding kirin.Either way, it's been a fun, if sometimes frustrating ride, snowbros. Thanks for inspiring me to finally start writing. Whether I continue writing or not, I'll hang around.
>>40939160>Agate's vigil (WIP)Guess we can remove the "WIP" from that in the next OP.

Why does Derpi call snowponies "yakutian horses"?
>>40989115Probably to not conflict with a "snowman" one and using the source inspiration.
>>40989115The original image was ponified yakutian horses from the drawthread, and they opted not to correct it when the thread took off and settled on calling the overall pony subspecies snowponies. Notice how "snowpony (species)" is an alias rather than the main tag.Caused a few arguments in early threads when baitposters and genuine autists went on about derpi's tag being the "official name" that should be used. Good times. Not as entertaining as the vegan autist, though.
Snow poner bump.
>>40982041I'm still amused that while this story was 100% "serious", the capital name was still Snowpitt, and the first export that the snowponies brought to the Empire was snowpity.

>>41022689feels off, cute art but off

>>41022706if she's supposed to be a snowpony rather than just a fluffed up pony in the snow, yeah. Wings and too colorful. Flutters' coat you could simply desaturate a bit and it'd be close to a snowpony-like coat, but I don't know if that'd work for her mane and tail as well. Very cute anyway.
>>41022773It's not mine, just in case, the artist is Sofikozz
>>41022788Should've picked up on that, honestly. I don't think anyone who visits this board draws two toned wings.
>>41022773I guess she could be a half snow pone. One parent snow pony, the other a pegasus.
>>41021825My point of view/answer on this from a meta perspective is:>pegasusProbably so the storms and weather, as well as communication, weren't trivialised by their innate abilities.>unicornTo give space for shaman/ritual magic, less overt and more subtle deriving from the snowpone Earth heritage, as opposed to flashy and bold unicorn magic.Their environment becomes a lot less challenging with wings and powerful magic, and sort of defeats the point of them being fluffy ponies in the snow living simple but charming lives.
>>41021877Now that I think about it, in my headcanon I figured at least three villages banded together and ended going the wrong way for too long to go back anymore. But now I wonder, how many ponies are needed to ensure to avoid unintended incestual relationships and to allow populations to grow without or little issues?
>>41023711That is a very good question. I can't hep but wonder if the Abominable Snowponies aren't somehow related to the answer
>>41023795But then, where did the Abominables come from?
>>41023195Personally, I'm inclined to believe snowponies work like bats. You either get one or the other.
>>41024064Maybe they are a small distant offshoot of the small distant offshoot, and got changed by some magic or something.
>>41024317>You either get one or the other. Not that I would disagree, but that's a headcanon in itself too.

>>40945977According to the boorus, that shaman mare is still nameless, is Snowcap her name in these threads? I like it.
>>41025291Pretty sure that's the name the artist ended up approving of, yes.
>>41024064>Abominables come from?Perhaps they actually are true natives of the north, who were always there, or at least, for as long back as anyone can remember.Less "shamare and snowpity survival" and more "brute force big and strong" survival.
>>41025776>Abominables are the pony equivalent of neanderthals, minus the extinction Yeah, I could see that.
>>41025787That's a good way of putting it! A bit grug and wild but still ponies at their core.
>>41025172Eastern euro? Looks a bit eastern euro to me.
>>41026080Yeah, pretty close..
>>41025776The only thing that causes issues with that idea is that they should be far more widespread if they're so well adapted to the North, and not just rare, random encounters with a near-mythical status. What could even threaten an abominable?
>>41015147Mine are ridiculous as well, I try to write them down in the morning if I'm awake enough to do it, but they often result in shit that makes no sense anymore once I forget the dream, like the most recent ones:04/15/2024 9:05 AMDream where me and Luna are together in a store or something, it's closing, so we're gathering stuff before we goBut when we leave my car is full of people and I have to tell Luna that I'll call her once I drop them all off, but driving them around becomes that toblox game about the mountain that's really hard to climbAll I wanted to do was snuggle luna close and warm and pet her soft fur and :(((((04/21/2024 9:05 AMDram where I'm at nasa having a tour or something cool but then with a picture of lips and and a word starting with B I'm syupposd to find my way to a Taylor swift lecture (???) where everyone is a furry and I try talking to her but she doesn't help so I try to think of how to seduce one of the guys I know but it doesn't go anywhere....and these are some of the "normal" ones. Can I blame autism for this? When do I get to have my own snowmare dream?
>>41026718How widespread are the meese/elks? Abominables are basically equivalent to those, just considerably friendlier.

>>41027092Its the little things to.The antenna, car, power lines, 'garden'.Entire picture screams home
>>41026875Isn't the plural of moose moose?
>>41015147>>41026834These dreams are usually outliers to me. Usually they're about falling off, almost falling off, or fearing falling off tall buildings.
I actually started looking up populations for settlers to avoid inbreeding and to have a safe minimum for the population to grow from.https://www.sciencefocus.com/science/how-do-small-and-isolated-tribes-cope-with-inbreeding>Inbreeding – the production of offspring from parents who are genetically close together – can lead to health problems. This is because there’s an increased risk of the offspring having a ‘recessive’ genetic disease.>Recessive diseases require two copies of a harmful gene to develop – one from each parent – and if the genomes of the parents are similar, there’s a stronger chance that they’ll both carry it. However, these harmful genes are generally rare, and it takes multiple generations of inbreeding for the risks to rise significantly.>Even small Amazonian tribes have several hundred members, and tribal customs that encourage people to choose marriage partners who are not closely related are enough to keep the genes sufficiently well-mixed. Inbreeding is one of the factors that affects the success of a tribe, but land and food availability, and conflicts with Westerners and other tribes, are all bigger threats. Inbreeding only becomes a serious problem when the population drops below 50 or so.So as long as the settlement isn't less than 50 ponies, it's very unlikely to be a problem. And taking into account that if several villages, and individual farms, would've banded together to find and emigrate to a new lands, I'd say that 300-500 Earth ponies would've initially settled in the valley.
>>41028033Also to add, I'd figure they'd realize this to be an issue so families start to keep family trees to keep track of family relations and this becomes important cultural tradition.
>>41026718>What could even threaten an abominable?A few things that could be a problem even for an abominable spring to mind. Frost dragons perhaps, giant ice spiders, dire wolves, etc. The general hardship of their environment means they don't easily support beyond their family groups.Like the snowponies they probably have family group meet ups where they can mingle and avoid lack of genetic diversity, but further north and making use of caves perhaps? Snowpones wouldn't see so many together, even Ice Elation and her peers wouldn't venture so very far north and into such remote regions. They could also live longer lives and breed less as a result. Hardy and long lived but not numerous.>>41028033So if at least 5+ groups of 10 Abominables (who themselves don't band together often as a group of 10 or so, more share a large area) met up every few years, they could maintain healthy breeding numbers?I imagine scent would be the key to knowing how closely related they are, writing isn't their thing. Maybe simple carvings and cave-painting family trees?

Mine are always ridiculous, though. I used to have nightmares as a kid (which I almost never remembered), but even the "regular" dreams are always nuts. One of the earliest dreams that I can remember is being hunted by a priest with a shotgun because I had dream powers of jumping super high. I was jumping around all over the place and across buildings as I evaded him. One thing that's almost always consistent in my dreams is my ability to levitate a small distance from the ground, no matter the dream I'm having.Another weird thing is that I had at least 50, if not over 100 dreams in the same place, which is my hometown. Some dreams were random, but I kept having them - but they were not recurring dreams, I was in a slightly different place each and every time, moving around. Oh, and everything was burned out like it was some kind of post-apocalypse, for some reason.Just tonight, I dreamt that I was running super fast on water alongside some super-jacked dude that was a god. apparently, and I was making fun of him that I'm a mortal, and I was able to easily keep up with him. The dream only got weirder after that.>Can I blame autism for this?Probably. You should try writing.

>>41033162Why the fuck would they "rule the north"? They're abominables, not humans.
>>41033162>but that still doesn't explain why they're not ruling the northImo there isn't much of anything to rule how far north they are. They'd possibly venture further south during the very worst of winters to avoid conditions even they struggle with, but most of the time, its pretty tough to eke out a living. Not so tough that they are joyless survivalists, but enough that they are keep keen and alert.

>>41033829Sorry. I guess its just something to hand-wave.
Hueg feesh
>>41036849Waow large fishe
>>41036849Feesh so big you sacrifice it to your ancestors to keep the spiritual magic strong
>>41036583Oh, alright. That's useful to know.
Would feesh bones have uses? Like as needles and similar?Fish also makes good fertilizer, right?
>>41037799Definitely. The southern farmers are using a mix of fish scrap and night soil/horse apples
>>41037799Yup.
>>41037933>>41038151Feesh facts!>horse applesWhat's a horse apple?
>>41038904>https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/horse%20appleshorse applesplural nounchiefly dialectal: dried horse droppingsAlso, there's apparently a fruit that's called a horse apple, though horses dom't usually eat them because they don't like the taste.
Today I realized that I still have not seen any lewd images of snowpones, either intentionally or accidentally, and that makes me happy. The only physical feeling I have towards them is a strong desire to embrace their warm floof. To me, snowpones are as clean and pure as freshly-fallen snow.
>>41038924Oh I see, well, I wasn't expecting that.>>41039410I want to hug and snuggle with Cirrus quite a lot.
>>41039410There's like a handful on the boorus. Two that are decent, the rest are shitpost tier part of me wants to commission a comic based on my granite and fireweed green but idk where to even start

>>41040541>Maclura pomifera has many names, including mock orange, hedge apple, hedge, horse apple, pap, monkey ball, monkey brains and yellow-wood. Looks like it.

Snowponer save
boop
>>41043905>snowpone in thoughtWhat is she thinking of?
>>41042584Yeah, Marbo really knew how to make the colors stand out and really give his pictures life.

>>41044941

Snow poner save.>Verification not required.
>>41047727The most comfy thing about this image is the implication that an afterlife of some kind is real
>>41048792We can hope that snowpones await. I certainly do.
>>41049282Hope is not a strategy. But it's the best alternative.
>>41049658Wisdom. Freshly fallen snow and soft floof for all who yearn for snowpones in their hearts.

>>41053917Didn't quite get the floof right but still a good run
>>41054260I'm not quite sure what the interaction between the two is meant to depict here.
>>41054467That's beyond the capabilities of AI and I doubt we'll see it advance to that point anytime soon.
Emergency Bump !
>>41055059Thank you for your service.
>>41054683AI's making full animations now. I doubt it'd take long to get snowpones. It's just a niche thing.
>>41055787I didn't say AI was incapable of drawing snowpones. I said it's incapable of meaning. You ask it to make a snowpone and a fish, and it draws a snowpone and a fish. What's the interaction between the two meant to depict? Nothing, because AI isn't yet capable of that.
>>41054260Pretty damn good!
>>41055816You're the one prompting, so I guess it's up to (You) to tell the AI the context.
Page 9 bump.
>>41057225>10
>>41057768Would her home be pine-cone shaped/decorated?
>>41058225Depends on how skilled she is at carpentry and/or ice sculpting. I'm not quite sure where Pine actually lives. She's part of Frosty's village, which seems to be all igloos, but she also seems to live in a wooden structure.
>>41058536Maybe she has a wooden cart that's pine cone shaped, for forest excursions?>Depends on how skilled she is at carpentry and/or ice sculpting. My guess is pretty good at fine details. I'm sure snowstallions wouldn't have minded helping her make such a thing.
>>41058225The interior might be likely to. Not sure about the exterior though. Building something this elaborate would take a lot of time and I'm not sure whether small communities with limited material could afford that.
>>41053389Hazelnut cream
>>41059678If that's a name suggestion, its a wonderful one!
>>41060117Her name is gaia. dot drew her once in the early, early threads
>>41060704Ooh. Well, that's also a nice name.
>>41059300Every time I see this I just feel so proud of the results.
>>41061196This pony looks like glacial runoff.
>>41060117That's her flavor
>>41062317Not the most flattering of names, but.. Well, there have been weirder ones than Glacial Runoff. Then again, the water from glaciers should be very pure, right?
>>41062963I think its a nice name, a little different but cute, goes with the sweet little ribbons she has.
Just polar animal posting.
>>41062963You could pretty it up a bit. Glacial Flow, or simply call her Meltwater. Not all snowpone names directly use the term which inspired them.
>>41061515It really is an outstanding piece.
>>41063865Would she take offence if her mane was playfully ruffled?
>>40982041Just finished reading this and wanted to add my congrats for a great story. Thanks anon, hope you write more in future.

>>41067352>that tum>UNF>wtf what's Frosty gonna do with mole?
>>41067352Look at this butie butthole. I want to put my pnis in it
>>41067466>MoleMole got buried in the recent blizzard. It's near death. She'll warm it up in her hut. When it has recovered, she'll help it reconstitute it's burrow so it can continue hibernation.
>>41067534Snowpity levels maximum
>>41065829Thanks.And I probably will, but summer is a really busy time for me, so I don't know when I'll get back on that particular horse.
>>41067466>MoleI thought that was a rat.
>>41068777It's kinda hard to tell for sure. However, somehow it feels more cute if It's a mole. Therefore, by the 2nd law of ponydynamics (whereby entropic cuteness always increases) it must be a mole.
>>41069086>the 2nd law of ponydynamicsI guess I can't argue against this.
>>41067352
>>41069644Spooky as hell. Would make a great carving for snowpone Nightmare Night.
How do snowpones handle the long months of darkness or light? Light doesn't seem like such a huge problem, but you can't grow anything in the dark. It'd be hard to see the fish you're trying to spear or simply grab out of the water too, since snowpones don't seem to use bait and hooks to fish. Not to mention the difficulties in travel or safeguarding against hostile wildlife.
>>41070001Equestria does seem as a whole to have luminous crystals. Perhaps cave flora could grow via them?Sharmare trinkets maybe to help see a little better, though those perhaps wouldn't be too common.>Not to mention the difficulties in travel or safeguarding against hostile wildlife.I imagine for this however they bunker down as best they can. Even someone like Ice would probably balk at travelling any great distance during the middle of the darker periods.Would make for a good risky adventure.
>>41070501>Even someone like Ice would probably balk at travelling any great distance during the middle of the darker periods.Other than the journey to Snowpitt for the Great Huddle. That seems to happen around the same time as Hearthswarming in Equestria, which I believe would put it right in the middle of the dark period up north.
>>41070001>don't seem to use bait and hooks to fishNets?
>>41070001As I understand it, polar night is not that dark most of the time, mostly a state of near-perpetual twilight(center of the sun below horizon), it getting darker the closer to the pole you are.Combining it with snow refracting whatever light there is, it should be pretty workable. At the very pole the darkest period where you can see even dimmest stars lasts for about 3 months continuously, I think.
>>41070674True. Safety in numbers plus the road well travelled makes that trek feel much safer. Plus, they want to meet all their friends and relatives!
>>41070001Preserves. Fish, much like many other things, can be dried and preserved.
I want to get Pine drunk. I think it'd be funny. That goes for a lot of snowpones, but given the opportunity Pine would be the first.
>>41067102Not much, probably.
>>41065610Probably not.
Can I get a QRD on the personalities of the main individual snowponies?
>>41073343I'd like to get Cirrus drunk but she'd be chuckling serenely while I'd be flat out on floor. Not a hope.
>>41074441>Can I get a QRD on the personalities of the main individual snowponies? We're nearly at a new thread, maybe we could review them in that one?
