Hello anons it's me here. I was the one that said I was scared to make a poem because I thought it was too complicated but now I studied them a little bit and not I think I can make a decent poem now. Here:Like little water droplets, their eyes glint. Their bodies so sweetly glitter, And their wings so dainty with colors of all tint. Blessing the garden with light and glimmer. So comely they are, with their butterfly wings. So comely they dance, the little songs they sing. Little faces with flower petal eyes; Melodies they sing until sunrise.I hope the formatting is alright.
>>23352343I like it anonVery Victorian
>>23352455:D
>>23352488Omg I forgot to remove my name. I guess I'm stimky here now. Stimky stimk
>>23352343Pretty good, my mind perfectly imagined a fairy dancing with you words, truly graceful, thank you.
>>23352495Stimky is what he is calledIs it really his name?Only God can tellOnly he can find himself A man without identity Who mistook his own nameAnd now will be remembered By this this disgrace
>>23352618I wrote "this" two times, FUCK
>>23352579You're welcome anon. I'll see if I can make more nicer poems in the future. >>23352626Hahahaha >:D
>>23352743this is my 1st attempt at poetry since my hs Latin / Greek classes
>>23352772It's.... nice. Well done with the rhyme. Also learned a new word 'bereft'Thanks for that...
>>23352794I tried to limit myself where possible to Germanic words.Bereave (berauben), twilit -> twilight -> zwielicht, low (läge), amid (a + mittel), day, night, wanton, shirker (Schurke), etc.
>>23351354lol
>>23351301It is clear to me at lastAre you being frank still? In exchange for all the sexYou gave them some Frankling billsAnd they gave you something backAs you grabbed those ass and titties:A game of Russian rouletteTo gain random STDs
>>23350400A poetry excercise for you. Try to make a poem with the following scheme:A, B (7 syllables)C, D (8 syllables)E, B (7 syllables)F, D (8 syllables)A, B (7 syllables)C, D (8 syllables)E, B (7 syllables)F, D (8 syllables)The letters correspond with the previous stanzas, meaning they still rhyme. A small leeway with syllable count if it is clever.

>gives you goosebumps
>>23354473Ok I accept, although english is not my primary language. This will be hard, let me see what I can do.(I got banned a banned for saying the nword here btw)
>>23354473Midnight WalkThe cold streets, with gloomy lights,Trouble and life, nights shady eyesLust and drinks, the thrill in fightsIt's false glee, but the heart wants lies.Tired of treats, moral uprightsMeets carnal rife, temperance diesHe thinks, seduced by the nights:I'm free, flying under dark skies.Fuck the english language lol I'm not inspired today btw. I realized I know nothing about poetry really.
>>23354486Wtf is this?
>>23356199It's Gypsy Romances by Lorca
>>23356322Ok but why it should give me goosebumps? Haven't read it
>>23352306that went so hard
>>23356445You should read it, it's great. Lorca felt commonalities with the much hated gypsies, being a homosexual artist targeted by the government and all. I had a few too many last night so sorry for coming off like that. I hope you understand.
>>23356461Thanks>>23356477I hate gypsies and homos but I might take a look
>>23352626Personally, I think the double-this 'works'Imagine an agonized person in tears, wringing his hands at the heavens, praying the angels somehow unburden him of 'this this disgrace!'Image worked a wonder for me aarGood job?
>>23356535Lmao, it could work if it had a comma in between, but it was a genuine mistake lol
>>23350460Having sex that many times is extremely normal and mundane for anyone with a relationship. Having sex with that many women would be different
>>23356574True. Having sex 30 times with someone who lives with you and is in a relationship is easy, fucking 30 different women is another thing, unless we are considering prostitution, then its easy.
I wake again come morrow but for where to go?Who am I but recollection, and why must I be so?After morning comes the evening, and again I pass away. One day to the feet of death, my body to decay.
I know this thread is probably for sharing poetry but I'm looking for weird fiction poetry and didn't want to make a whole rec thread for it. Got any recs?Authors I have read that fit the bill are:LovecraftClark Ashton SmithRobert E HowardColeridgeWilliam BlakeGoethe
Did Athena Meet Athena? All that Herodotus tells of her is her frame was reminiscent of Zeus’ Daughter of high fame. She was recruited from the Athenian plain. When the tyrant Peisistratos, newly exile, meandered nearby the farm girl’s humble domicile. Did Athena Polias inspire his wide smile? In a painted carriage she rode, reins in her hand, statesman at her side. Did he ever tell her his plan or did she see through the schemes of the city man? She entered the city dressed in shining armor. Did democratic Attic gasp, murmur, or clamor? Or did her tanned skin give her away as a farmer? Where did she go, this Athena Apatouros, after she delivered the tyrant Peisistratos. to the Acropolis with the temples packed close. Did she stride to the Temple of Athena Nike and stand among the priestesses dressed resplendently? Were there burnt offerings or a death penalty?Ever since I learned about this nameless woman I've never been able to forget about her. This is also my first real attempt at poetry, so I'm not exactly confident.
>>23357468Have you tried Lord Dunsany?
>>23356574>>23357246It was 31 different women and only 3 of them (9.8%) were prostitutes. I guess that's pretty high for 4chan standards, I'm probably a top 1% Chad in that category here. 10 of these girls I banged within a 6 month period; that was a good run filled with a lot of drinking. I guess I was lucky to experience it, since you think that's an accomplishment, but maybe it was a curse. I still feel like an incel outcast loser and I haven't had sex in 3 years. But I'm trying not to harp on having casual sex anymore, it's not as gratifying as you think. It's a waste of time and money (bars, dates, etc) It could even get dangerous at times. I'm glad I'm over that nonsense. Starting a family is more important to me now, and I may never get that opportunity because I never valued it or thought about it back then. But hey, at least I didn't get any of my nonwhite exgirlfriends pregnant
>>23355880wow i didnt think anyone would try. also i shouldve wrote it as A/B not A,B as you didnt need commas. but with some minor tweaking you could have a pro level poem here
>>23358301Commas made it easier for me to write it, and also highlighted opposite ideas in some verses.
>>23357708Did he write poetry? I enjoyed m his The Land of Time and Other Fantasy Tales. I'm planning on picking up the books of wonder and The King of Elflands Daughter.
>>23357653Pretty decent. I thought I was about to read an epic poetry lol
>>23358280Ok how old are you? You must be in your late 30s to talk like you cant start a family. >I never valued it or thought about it back then.Nobody does
>>23358433Not that I know of, but his prose has a lyrical quality to it.
>>23359426I'm 33 but the decades are going by fast these days.
>>23358280How many were black dude
Poetry more like faggotry
>>23361300...and you came to this thread willingly?Fine, bend over, fag.
>>23357653not bad for first time. at least you tried to rhyme.
>>23360693He is particularly good. I guess I should have specified that I am looking for verse. There are a few that I am looking into that I found in Clark Ashton Smith's letters to Sam Loveman (including Sam himself). People like George Sterling, Huysmans and Baudelaire (though I really am not too keen on reading the last 2 in translation. My last few endeavors into reading translated poetry left a bit to be desired). Weird, decadent, or surreal verse with lots of enchantment, beautiful or terrible, is what I am seeking. Thanks for the rec though. I went back and read some of my favorite bits from The Land of Time last night as a result. Pretty much exactly what I am looking for except it's in prose.
While you were strugglingComing up with the speedTo escape into space,Your knees scraped,Leaving behind bloody tracksIn the wind-swept dust. While you were goneYour planet kept spinning,Its air kept blowing,Even though in your pockets Stretched the weight of a worldWhile you called out,Soundless, from between the stars,We grew older. (Some died, others forgot.)Seeing only an indistinct blur,Too distant for memory,Your hands in heavy pockets. Brilliant tails of meteorsCaress down the sky's dome.Landing in the fields, the heads-Charred black, burnt off,Shriveled and crumbled byA hostile atmosphere.Melted and reheated,Dust, like rocks, like glassGlistening cool metal,Condensed like droplets. One day, we’ll be chondrules again.
